Apart from flagship series like Galaxy S, Galaxy Z and previously Galaxy Note, the A series is a less expensive line, yet gaining notable success commercially. However, Samsung is seemingly considering discontinuing the production of this series starting from this year. The latest release is the A73. It is on sale from this March, starting from $596. The phone offers 8 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage, 108 MP triple rear camera, 5000mAH battery capacity and the Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 730. It is one of the great options with an affordable price.

In 2023, this Korean company is not going to launch an A74, according to a source. All the leaked details do not include any information for the next A7x phone. So, a lot of people believe that the development for the phone is not taking place yet. Or maybe in the worst case, they will never be. Samsung is going to dismiss this series like what they did with the Note series, even though it was one of the most successful and advanced series of Samsung Galaxy.
In fact, Samsung actually decreases the number of countries that the Galaxy A73 is available in. Therefore, it sounds so much like they are planning on something. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A54 is obviously getting an official launch next year with so many leaked details and photos. It is going to be the next headliner of the A series. Probably, Samsung is going to focus on just this one model other than separating into A7x and A5x like before.

Moreover, there is also no other leak about the S22 FE and S23 FE. It means that there is nothing in between the price gap of the A54 and the S23. Apparently, the S23 might cost more than $400 – $500, compared to the A54. This huge gap is also a great opportunity for other competitors consisting of several Chinese rivals like OPPO, Huawei and Xiaomi.
Until now, there is nothing certain about this discontinuation yet. However, the official announcement is expected to come out within a few months since it’s been almost a year since the launch of the latest A73.
